While writing any post or reply, using the backspace key often deletes the previous word (merge two previous tokens) which makes writing anything longer than a sentence hell.

What keyboard are you using? I’ve had quite a bit of difficulty with some keyboards specifically for jetpack-compose textfields. MessageEase auto-correct is broken for example.
OpenBoard v1.4.5. Yes it looks like it is relared to autocorrect somehow, even though I never use auto correct and double checked that is is disabled.
I tried with Gboard no more issues so it is related to the keyboard. Note that it only happens with Jerboa, I never had this issue before.
