I’d really like an alternative to AniList / MAL

I would like something like tumblr
Doesn’t need new software, only improved UX on the existing ones
Stack Overflow. It is such an obvious one that we are missing, different communities need q&a forum type of thing adding federation to it would be pretty nice.

@OptimusPrime single identity across several fedi services
Federated dating
At least you have Alovoa!
@OptimusPrime I’m thinking of a non-profit, federated, self-hosted dating site.
I’m imagining each change to a user profile is an AP post. Like adding a picture, editing your profile text. Other users can boost your profile. It would be very much like Mastodon with one major difference being that you could create a swipable tinder-like frontend for it to swipe through all the profiles.
but https://alovoa.com/ already exists
- discourse. they tried to get funding for developing federation to no avail. i already have 10 discourse accounts… if there was federation one account would be enough.
- pinterest alternative
- pocket alternative
Use OAuth for Discourse, it’s like baby federation
Afaik Ootb it is only for Google, Facebook, Twitter, Github. I’m not keen in using those
Dating software (and not Tinder/Grindr-like).
There is Alovoa but federation is not implemented yet.
There was another one called Amore or similar but I am unsure if it is continued or was abandoned. Alovoa has more probabilities to get there.
@OptimusPrime I wish there was software to assign tasks in a staff. Kind of like a Trello, but maybe I’m asking too much.
@russandro @OptimusPrime To tell the truth, there is already a very interesting project, called Bonfire ( => @bonfire <=). It is a platform that:
- it can be a social network such as mastodon or friendica
- can handle posts with a title (and therefore can also publish threads on lemmy)
- can manage purchase and exchange functions in a marketplace
- can manage tasks within user circles(I talked about it here: poliverso.org/objects/0477a01e… )
For information, you can ask @bernini
Bookwyrm for movies.
Something like LetterboxD but decentralized, there’s BookWyrm which could be modified to work for that, but there’s nothing like that for films.
Yes. I would definitely throw some money their way.
Something new. Why just rebuild the big players.
Okay enough joking, it is a Tik-Tok alternative. -.-
