“Twitter does have a different standard for celebrities – including Musk himself. For months, the platform has maintained a list of around 35 VIP users whose accounts it monitors and offers increased visibility alongside Elon Musk, according to documents obtained by Platformer.”

It’s good work & outrageous but think this misses the real story.

Twitter suppresses most of its users, so they go unheard.

Twitter’s not social, democratic, egalitarian, it’s anti social, controlled & centralised.

A system for stealthily silenced serfs to flush their thoughts down the Twttr memory hole, while being broadcast at by oblivious loudhailer lords.

@ArtBear @[email protected] @zoeschiffer @caseynewton It also makes it less a form of social media, where people actually have conversations with one another and interact.

Instead, it functions more as a form of broadcast media, where public figures disseminate their messages to the public.

That’s why just 25% of users create 97% of all content there.

Not surprised about AOC. They were hobnobbing at the Metro Gala and she was giggling like a blushed little girl when taking photos with him (Elon). They all have a glass of evening 🥃 in a drawing room and laugh at your silly serf squabbles.
