I created an account in lemmy.world, but when I go to login and select an instance, I don’t see it in the dropdown menu. I tried logging in with all of them, but they all say Login info is incorrect. Does this mean I have to create an account in one of the instances that show up in that list?
Edit: Nevermind. Found out that it let’s you type your own instance name.
Are you able to type in the instance name where the drop-down options are?

There’s quite a steep leaning curve to this website. But it seems worth it.
Yup. The whole concept of a federated internet sounds very cool honestly. No big centralized entity that controls everything, and I like how all of these apls can talk to each other, like with Mastodon and Kbin.
