Something here felt different, and I think I realized what.
Content here, at least from my experience so far, is not rage baity. When I go to Reddit it does not take long time until I get to some post that I go into and read because it makes me angry, or people in comments make me angry (and I have a need to engage to bark at the moon).
Here most of content I read because legit interest. Hope it stays this way.
Reddit was like that in the early days. Once this gets more popular, all the problems of Reddit will crop up too. Let’s hope kbin can find the balance between being economically viable and having to drive engagement at the cost of quality.
Except that reddit only became that way as a function of user experience redesign and other feature roll outs. If it had stayed clunky and hideous, it probably would have never taken off among the Facebook crowd, y’know?
So, while yes, some kinks need to be smoothed out in kbin, let’s keep the display here as basic as possible. Let’s keep the Fediverse scary-sounding. Lol
