Are you trying to log in to an instance that hasn’t updated to Lemmy v0.18 yet (like most of them)? Versions of Jerboa greater than 0.0.34 only support the newer Lemmy version.
Would you consider submitting pull requests back to the main project to fix them for everyone?
Features can be requested on GitHub (please search first and one feature per issue): https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/issues
I’d assume that’ll be the case once it’s out of alpha/beta test status.
It’s free software in an alpha version. Cut them some slack.
It’s the other way round. Jerboa v0.0.35 only works with v0.18 of Lemmy and only lemmy.ml is the only instance that’s updated so far. Previous versions of Jerboa only work with previous versions of Lemmy.
What’s even better is that the pace of development on Jerboa is extremely high at the moment, there are a lot of features and fixes that are ready to go but have to wait for the next release of the Lemmy server software.
You can follow (and help) development here: https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa
There’s code waiting to be merged that’ll implement that function: https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/pull/514
I find it hard to believe there are 125,000 users on kbin…are we sure it isn’t reporting stats from all the servers it’s federated with (and therefore including Lemmy)?
I mean, it’s a great time to do server maintenance if none of your users are there anyway…
Damn, you beat me to it.
There’s a pull request (code change) to implement this feature that’s ready for merge here.
I just tested on my Pixel 6 and it only goes sideways if I swipe at more than 45°, which matches other apps and seems sensible to me.
