I only use Reddit for one small niche hobby. And given that a bunch of those people still use Facebook, I’m not that surprised they haven’t relocated to Lemmy.
Etterra@lemmy.worldto FoodPorn@lemmy.world•Came into some local blueberries so went to town. Muffins, mini cheesecakes with blueberry curd, and lemon blueberry barsEnglish7·1 year agoSo you traded the blueberries for pastries? That sounds like a bargain to me.

Etterra@lemmy.worldto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Maven Imported 1.12 Million Fediverse PostsEnglish6·1 year agoIt’s not surprised. He’s acting surprised because he got caught. It’s pretty standard for these jerkass tech bros. “Move fast break things” is code “break laws be unethical” - as I think we’ve all seen if you do it often and fast enough you can keep way ahead of any kind of accountability because everybody else is trying to play catch up well the last thing has already filtered out of the news cycle.
Not enough people have left Reddit for it, mostly niche hobby groups. Which means sometimes I end up back on Reddit briefly to read something or more rarely post/reply.

I’d rather they did proper video hosting to compete with regular Youtube, though that would cost way more to pull off so I’m not holding my breath.

I see no reason it couldn’t be a toggable option where you enter whitelisted languages with comma separations, with your native whitelisted by default.
Gonna say, where’s the rest of them?
Yeah I have no idea what weird mystery soup that is so I’m gonna assume it is Pepto-Bismol.
We don’t. Normies made Reddit suck and they’ll make Lemmy suck too. Always have at least a small barrier to tech entry. When anyone can use it then everyone will use it. So do you want Facebook? Because that’s how you end up with fucking Facebook.
