Find a rom, and check it out. It’s a banger.
I do remember the boss being a big issue, it took me a few days.

This was the game I chose when I got my Gameboy. I definitely beat it, can’t remember a ton about it, but it was a solid game. The NES game was top notch too.
My dad’s actually a bigger gamer than I am. He is being stubborn about retiring, but I’m going to get him a PS5 when he retires in the next year or so. He was also begging me to just get my mom something simple, as he too, didn’t want to have to explain how to use a Switch to her all the time. The Game Boy is such a good idea for those kind of folks, and you should see what people are doing to those things now. I almost bought myself one, not going to lie.
I am. I’m an idiot.
You are definitely right! Can’t keep my star games straight anymore lol
Better hope you don’t want to run ray tracing, because the computer you built 10 minutes ago might not be able to handle that.
The code for this game is pretty clearly still an absolute mess. The fact we are seeing an AM5 processor call-out on technical specs at this point in their lifespan , isn’t reassuring. I’m starting to wonder if my 4070ti 5800x3D machine is going to even have a very long life before I have to start turning settings down. At today’s prices, that’s going to crush the PC gaming market for good, so I hope these guys and gals all take this sort of stuff into account. But they don’t, instant profit, fuck everything else.
This game is going to be No Man’s Sky 2.0. I’m calling it now. Watching that whole demo the other day, all I could think of was, yep, no man’s sky of 2023.
No disrespect to No Man’s Sky, because they got that game pretty much sorted. Not sure Bethesda will ever throw that much resources, especially with this news, at Star Citizen. I’ll be waiting for the first Steam Sale, and only if they have it mostly sorted by that point. Their track record isn’t awesome, in that regard.
My 67 year old mom’s got a new rebuilt and improved Game Boy Colour. She wanted a switch, but dear lord watching her try to operate mine…so I was like hey what about a new Game Boy, there’s people on Etsy that rebuild them. She’s happier than a pig on shit, and I don’t have to answer endless support calls + she’s got a super sized library to work through from my old Game Boy games. Will have to check this out to see if I can get her one of these.
I’ve just got the old classic Raspberry Pi 3b. My 4 year old just about loses his mind playing the old games like Sonic, etc.
