You could always outsource and automate the basic troubleshooting aspects. Running updates accross multiple customers would be a breeze. I beleive I’ve seen one managed services company that will set up an instance and manage it for around $20/mo.
I guess I wasn’t thinking about how much work it would actually be in order to enforce it. I doubt I could afford the cost. Maybe if it was coupled with a managed services type of deal and you had enough subsrcibers it could be enough to hire another staff member? It seems like adding “premium” features could alieanate the userbase unless it’s just cosmetic changes. I put my foot in my mouth bringing it up, sorry.
Indeed it is a big ask, however, It would be something I’d be willing to pay for. Many foss projects make money from paying customers as well as donations. I also mention and explain what lemmy is and encourage people to check it out in the getting started area of the site.
It’s the little heart on the top on desktop.
It would also be nice to remove the join lemmy link on the bottom as well as a few other tweaks.
More customization for site owners. I have an independent instance and there’s a lot of things on there that are confusing for people unfamiliar with the fefiverse or lemmy. It would also be nice to remove the donation beg at the top. I know Lemmy needs funding, but it makes it look like I’m asking for donations.
The fun part is that they have to and they give pro se litigants more leeway. It’s a huge pita.
I’ll sue them in small claims court as a pro se litigant demanding a jury trial. I will also try to file motions every other week, which will probably fail and ask the judge to give me time to correct them. I will make them waste thousands on attourneys fees and be a royal pain in the ass.
It’s not a bad idea with the push to end sectoon 230 by Chuck Schumer on behalf of the entertainment industry. Copyright trolls would come crawling out of the woodwork and sue the owner. Meta would weaponize it by intentionally posting infringing and other illegal content in order to shut down competition.

Do you know of any forums using it? Id like to take a look at it.
They’re wanting threads users to interact with their site.

I didn’t remember which one it was. I’m not really a GitHub user. It said there were open issues for a long time.
Fuck if i know
From what I read he’s the sole dev on three different large projects and ignoring issue requests.
After seeing that the creator of Pixelfed is also the single Deb dev of two other big projects and is trying to crowdsourse money for it, in a bit hesitant until they allow other people to work on the project and make sure it’s not just a pump and dump.

We didn’t make a distinction in english until about ten? years ago. Most people used the terms interchangeably. That’s part of why people got so pissed off about the whole thing. Suddenly they were being screamed at by a militant tumbler user for using the wrong word when they were using it that way their whole life.
