Here’s the downside, your username will be remade on another instance exactly as it is here. Unless you make your username everywhere. So it’s kinda like having [email protected] but someone else has [email protected]. I think there are probably some super autistic people that might grab their nicks on every big server currently lol
This gets into another problem. You’ll never reach the critical mass that reddit did by having almost everyone on the same page. You had experts from every field commenting on some articles. Loads of knowledge in one place. It would’ve been awesome to have something like that.
So I don’t think this will go that far, sounds like it’ll create a cookie cutter RPG in the vein of the RPG Maker clones that look basically the same with a story that has as much depth as GPT3.5 can put out (which is to say, not very much). Sounds like a good starting point, but I think you’d probably need art asset creation uniqueness somewhere in there, and individual story aspect changes. I’m definitely more interested in LLMs being run locally to generate generative dialogue for NPCs in an RPG.
I would urge people.to reconsider this or atleast try out GPT4. I recognize that’s a normal viewpoint but from my usage and with back checking it, it was gotten profoundly good. To the point where I take recipe recommendations that it creates because it tastes delicious.
