I think we are now in a positive cycle:
- More and more useful comments are posted,
- Which means more people get interested,
- which attracts more and more people to the platform
- That increases the quality and quantity of posts/comments/etc.
- etc.
Mereo is a sociologist who is also a nerd. He believes in open-source software.
I transferred to this instance from https://lemmy.world. My previous profile: https://lemmy.world/u/Mereo

Also, check if your instance has a Status page and bookmark it.
That is the beauty of the Fediverse. If you don’t like how an instance is run, you can easily switch to another instance in Lemmy 0.19. We need to think of Lemmy instances as countries with their own laws, culture, and policies. So in my opinion, if you don’t like how an instance is run, you can easily switch to another instance.
The apps page now has sections for Android, iOS, and web apps, as well as libraries. Feel free to do a pull request to add any apps that are missing.
It would be great if the apps page was also filterable (Android, iOS, etc). Because I was initially confused when I saw the page, seeing the Android apps and not realizing the iOS section was further down. And new apps are being developed all the time, so the page will be overwhelming.
Yup. A month ago, I was consumed as hell about Lemmy. I thought I needed to create on account on each instance.
Lemmy is still alpha software, thrust into the limelight by the fall of Reddit. It is still in its infancy. Reddit has had over 18 years to get it right. So it will take some time.
I agree. Lemmy is not Twitter like, it is Reddit like, it is a forum.
