You can dislike both (I do too) but they are not the same, and with the far right on the rise and making power grabs the world over right now we need that distinction

From what I hear, they’re authoritarian communist, not fascist. Fascism is not just a synonym for authoritarianism, it’s a specific economically far right authoritarian political position.

The entire Civ series are great for this, and have a lot of replay value, especially if you add mods for more wonders to tweaking the tech trees or whatever.

I also want to suggest Stellaris. It’s not as brain-free as Civ because at times things can happen fast and there are often largish chunks of flavour text to read so it might not be ideal for podcasts, but music absolutely.

I borrowed the CD of the first one off a friend back when it was new, installed it, went to load it up, and at exactly that moment an unrelated virus ate my hard drive! I never played any of them because of that

So nothing from Funkwhale seems to be showing up, whether I search for funkwhale, funkwhale.audio, or a randsom instance by URL (music.ppom.me) or name (spotifox). But it is early days and federation has only just been turned on, so I’ll give it a while and try again. If it doesn;t work I’ll create a funkwhale account and enjoy things there for the time being at least

Honestly, just how damned ugly minecraft is puts me off every time I think about trying to play it!

Do I need to create separate accounts on each of those or can I use this one? Can I log in to Funkwhale with this account or get Funkwhale posts here on kbin, or am I better creating a separate account on each “thing”? I’m still very new to this whole fediverse thing…

Same. I have no interest in twitter and the like, I do like reddit and the like though. So kbin works for me
