Does the Active feed work this way?
I remember you! I see posts all the time and notice “Ah, it’s that Sag fellow again”
<3
I think still yes, when a problem is abundantly clear, but borderline cases can more easily be left to individual preference.
I’ve noticed that too. I thought it was a different technology community popping up for a while.
That would be helpful. I have a Mastodon account that I’m pretty much just using to post my OC trek memes (plus some of my favorites from Risa), and being able to crosspost both ways would be nice.
Oh I see! That would be awesome.
I don’t really know how to navigate GitHub to see more detail, but how would this improve the cross-posting function that already exists?
I’ve used it a handful of times and it seems pretty straightforward.
I actually named my Mastodon account that.
I like that my profile (on mobile at least) looks like he’s Riker maneuvering a Riker maneuver:
Yes, I believe so. I’ve only seen the TNG movies once, so my memory is a little fuzzy.
Thanks! Just trying to do my part to help the fediverse take off.
I’ve never heard of earl grey in a cake, but that sounds tasty!
Fair enough.
I guess I just think of the community as the “tag” for posts on this style of site, which is a setup that I personally prefer over sites like mastodon/twitter that rely on less consistent individual post tags.
I think it makes more sense to tag communities for this style of site rather than having users attach them to every single post.
That way, we would even have a simple method to “link” related communities, which I bet has been the #1 feedback request.
I’ve noticed that some people do use other filters than “Hot” or they scroll back in smaller communities, because I’ll occasionally get comment replies to posts I made months ago. It’s cool to see.
