I keep hearing they are swamped and not many people, so if that’s really the case i hope this spurs knowledgeable people to join to help add these things.

Some are doing one step more and registering on the instances hosting the piracy communities.
Reddit didn’t always have that, and Lemmy I think is in many ways meant to resemble Reddit before the introduction of user-focused features. Kbin has the option though.

It totally looks to me like Big Tech is gonna try to leverage CSAM prevention against the Fediverse. “Oh you want to prevent sex crimes against CHILDREN? Sure, but only on our proprietary services because we’re certainly not gonna fight CP for FREE!”
I’ve been going back and forth with this redditor who’s saying there is no exodus and calling it a trickle so thanks for these numbers showing that it’s far from a trickle.
I’ve heard of it, and have long hoped for a reason to use it but if its meant to be a FB replacement I don’t really use FB aside from a couple groups and I can’t imagine any of my friends there wanting to join Friendica
I am happy with both this (my account’s) lemmy instance and the Mastodon instances I’ve found, and similarly I joined each during the exodus from Twitter and Reddit, back in November and now June respectively.
Is it similarly possible to migrate from lemmy or kbin instances akin to Mastodon?
There is absolutely a segment of Mastodon users who behave like they do, and tbh I think there should always be small instances, but i also think this will be a great improvement.
