Did you search this community before posting? This has been addressed at least a few times in the last few hours.
Lemmy is pushing an update scheduled for tomorrow. This version of Jerboa (0.0.35), is to match the upcoming server-side upgrade.
I feel like we’ll see 100’s of small instances falling behind because most “solo” operators aren’t going to be able to figure out the upgrade process.
Update your app. 0.34 has an arrow to post. 0.35 has more fixes, but its only on Github as of the time of this comment.
I didn’t see it mentioned in the changelog, but they also added more instance links to the Android Open Links By Default section.
Settings - Apps - Jerboa - Open by Default, click Add Link button, checkmark the new entries.
I long for the day where a script is written that will auto-install the needed dependencies, and will guide the installer through the basic setup. At least for a new instance on a fresh server.
Something similar to PiHole.
As it stands, I’d have to start fresh with a second VPS, as my first is running Apache and I don’t have the time to convert everything to Nginx.
Not enough people have said SearXNG yet, so hands down, SearXNG. You can change a lot of settings in the Docker code, so your settings are the default for anyone that uses it. If you prefer the actual default, you can save settings per browser with a local cookie.
Looks much cleaner, love the magnifying glass instead of the three lines.
Noticed that the “Saved” tab also says “Search” though…
Jerboa is now broken completely and crashes upon start.
Thunder isn’t loading posts/images without a significant delay.
Liftoff is now the best for me on Android 13/GrapheneOS.
All of these statements could be completely different by next week though.
