I think the bigger issue is many of the apps that are coming out (which imo would be the main point of entry for less techy users) point to lemmy.world as the default instance.

Not in the way you think. Yes, you can still comment and post in your own instances version, but for other instances to see it it’ll have to go through lemmy.world first and forwarded on. I think it’s a bit murky when it comes to comment replies, though, I believe those do get propagated directly to the instance originating the comment (i.e. if a beehaw.org person comments and you reply, they get it sent directly), but you can see how disruptive it is.
Can you post it again? I can’t seem to find your other one
I believe db0 is working on something like this to help combat the eventual waves of spam and stuff were going to see.
Definitely a difference. Fun bug: getting yeeted across the room (or seeing others get yeeted). Unfun bug: crashing in the middle of the game and corrupting all your saves.
These exec guys just straight up lie. Different company but remember when Cyberpunk was coming out soon and the exec said it was surprisingly stable on next gen consoles? What a load of shit. What’s more, this game is on a new iteration of the same old engine. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are even old bugs that are still there.
Who is setting this standard? Is the general gaming population really upset if the graphics of the new CoD or sportsgame iteration is not hyperrealistic?z
Did you ever figure it out?
