I meant to respond, but forgot like two seconds later. I bring honour to my username.
But anyway, that works, the option appears, very cool! Thank you!
Hi, I’m Miss Brainfart.
I’m afraid of sharks, with the exception being blåhaj. What could that possibly mean, huh.
(That’s not a hint, I genuinely have no idea)
Lemmings can also find me @miss_brainfart:catgirl.cloud on Matrix, if they desire to do so for e2ee reasons
I meant to respond, but forgot like two seconds later. I bring honour to my username.
But anyway, that works, the option appears, very cool! Thank you!
Okay, that makes sense.
Thank you for you detailed explanation!
No secure message option either. Yeah, it’s definitely an issue on my end, my own account doesn’t know what to do
True
Sometimes, I just think in ways that are complicated beyond anything that makes sense
dang it
Guess I’ll have to comment people my username if I want them to contact me until I figure out the problem. Oh well
Ah, so you have your Matrix on here? Because when I go to your profile, the secure message option doesn’t show up either.
So paired with that message in the browser, the issue is on my end, huh.
Achtung: Private Nachrichten sind in Lemmy nicht verschlüsselt. Bitte erstelle einen Element.io Account für sicheren Nachrichtenverkehr.
Alright, so using lemmy.ml in the browser, this message telling me to create an Element.io account pops up when choosing to dm.
So evidently, my Lemmy account doesn’t seem to know what to do with my catgirl.cloud account. Unless I input that incorrectly into my profile.
The matrix username to add here should look like this, in my case?
@myusername:catgirl.cloud
Right?
I know this user has their Matrix in here, which why I was so confused.
Maybe I’ll try the site in the browser, just to see.
Alright, that makes sense. Something didn’t work then, because I can’t find anything about secure messaging on the particular user I wanted to message.
On that note, the app also crashes if I click send a message, but only with that user. Weird.
Same size across the board would be ideal, but that obviously can’t happen. Could also try and find different translations that are shorter
On one hand, you’d want a unified design with the same font size, spacing and kerning, on the other hand… Well, this happens
Oooh. Yeah, that was it, thank you!
Could maybe use a better description as to what that setting does, I never would’ve thought that this had anything to do with it
