Seems nice based on my trial but they are really pushing the envelope on my price tolerance.
I think so, too.
Advertising clearly does work on the whole or who would companies spend so much gold on it? Advertising shits in your head. It subtly influences consumers and advertisers have become quite sophisticated about it. There is a glut of advertising space available now so we see awful and ineffective ads but be assured a lot of the bigger players know what they are doing. This is why I block all ads. Well for that reason plus they are annoying as hell.
Haha, that’s bold
It’s kind of famous for some stupidly bad questions & answers.
Im liking Lemmy so far. It’s an adjustment and clearly the software is in its infancy, but it does not suck once one adjusts.
I agree. Thanks for posting. This is very, very concerning.
Definitely. I’m tempted to yawn due to the massive hype cycle and bandwagoning, except that many GPT integrations are truly useful.
I deleted my posts and commentary recently, but left the account open.
I’m not there yet but I’m thinking about it. Deleting Apollo on my phone was half the battle. I try to come here whenever I’m tempted to open Reddit.
I’m hopeful Lemmy turns into something near what I used to love about Reddit. It needs critical mass for that to happen. FWIW, I kept my Reddit account but I deleted all of my posts and comments.
Absolutely horseshit and so dumb. This just reinforces my decision to leave. I left the account open but I deleted all of my content (many years worth of posts and comments) on the way out the door.
I agree, this is a big value of reddit. It’s only solved with mass migration, about which I am skeptical. We also need more niche communities as folks arrive.
I feel that. I posted about a Plex problem 2 years ago and the subsequent solution I worked out. Every once in a while I still get someone replying to that and thanking me.
Wait until tomorrow, I guess.
Great idea
I’m skeptical. If this is indeed true, I believe it will be short lived. The simple reason is that the content is not worth the cost. It worked better when people shared their passwords maybe? I gave up my subscription long before they announced these changes because the content, IMO, mostly sucks.
I’m out. Redact is busy just now deleting everything under my account.
Starlink not an option?
