Big yes on this one. Especially if you include the mods that that combine the maps of all three games. It becomes an amazing open world survival experience.

This is the best way to look at it imo
With modern (non-multiplayer) games it always seems as though there’s a clear “main” chunk of the game. I usually try to complete that bit to feel as though I “beat” the game.
Main chunks are main story, levels, or getting beyond the main obstacle. Sandbox games are a good example of something outside this sphere and with those I simply enjoy the experience and don’t sweat completion.
I find myself playing more sandbox style games as things go due to time and skill commitments which has been an interesting change from when I was younger.
Check out all the old “immersive sims” like Deus Ex, Arx Fatalis, System Shock 2, and Thief.
If you’re cool with emulators, PSX has a metric ton of JRPGs that will absolutely devour your life.
Holy shit, just casually dropping that they’re working on a new Perfect Dark is crazy.
I think no, so much of what makes the Steam Deck great is SteamOS. Plus my understanding is that this things battery life isn’t very good.
That being said, still appears to be a competent competitor and I’m here for that.
Yeah they are really but a shell of their former selves at this point. While I’m not at all for this merger, I would love to see some of their IPs in fresh hands.
Effectively just two different methods to access the Fediverse. They each have different thought processes on how to do that, and both are at different stages in their development with kbin being the newest of the two.
I’m watching kbin’s development as I really like its intended ability to interface directly with say Mastodon, but as its stands it’s not quite their yet imo.
Ironically skyrim is its own open world sandbox game
