Lemmy instances have had a HUGE influx of bot registrations lately. Captcha was not enabled by default.
Refugee from Reddit after 11 years. Very happy to be here in the Fediverse and have no interest in going back.

You’re on kbin.social like me so those you can just search for here and some of those others will probably come up.
But for the direct links to other instances it goes like this https://kbin.social/m/[email protected]. If you look in your browser you should see a similar URL format as the thread we are discussing this on is on the beehaw.org instance and not on kbin.social.
You’re using this type of platform wrong, not just these fedderated websites but Reddit as well. You should subscribe to ALL the communities you want to see and then browse your subscriptions as a whole. In that way it is no different than Reddit, there are just way more options for major communities like tech. Which, as I have been telling everyone I can the past week, is a feature not a bug. We want the freedom of choice. The best communities should grow organically and the ones that are subpar will wither. Eventually those stronger communities will make up the bulk of your subscriptions.
Yeah, and they are already working on fixing the link interpolation on kbin’s end.
If you haven’t already joined there are selfhosted communities on the Fediverse.
After Google killed reader I used Newsblur for a while but didn’t really feel like it was worth the price of admission. So I rolled up a FreshRSS server myself. I really like it. I use the FeedMe app on Android.
It doesn’t matter, you can still make your own community. We need to shed the old thinking on reddit that there should be a single community for a subject. We can all subscribe to all of these and the best one(s) will grow organically.
If you are requesting directly from Reddit, it will be everything. Just keep in mind they are going to be flooded with responses right now so 30 days is probably optimistic.

[email protected] which is related to the Mastadon community https://mastodon.social/@dungeons, you might find that fun.
This is a feature, not a bug.
I’m sure it’s nothing to do with their struggling games division that holds the license.
Mods should probably block this Spambot. Just posting the same website wherever it can.
