Old discord when it first came out was nice
All I need is a client that looks and feels like discord to replicate voice channels and I will switch to matrix and host my own instance
Very neat
Don’t use lemmy.ml then?
This is definitely my biggest request
What is we?
Interesting I really thought it’d be more… I wanna make one now hahaha
Ayyy I love catbox! I found out about it from someone’s comment here on Lemmy and have been using it ever since
Honestly me too. It took a while to find an instance I liked plus I like having an account on another instance in case this one goes down or gets defederated.
Quick question. As Lemmy grows with more post and comments won’t it becomes more and more expensive to host for everyone, even small instances?
Wack. At least the option is there tho I guess
For default, they are unfederated in threads.
Do you mean instances have just all unfederated or that it’s built into Lemmy itself?
I haven’t heard anything on threads in a while so I’m not sure how well it took off but I agree that having something like threads could bring in more users.
Honestly I like the vibe of Lemmy and the fediverse now but I definitely do miss how there was a community for everything.
I’m very excited
For me I want just a lil bit more of the niche subreddits to migrate over then I’ll be content
I like it but I’m still not used to it
I think picking an instance is just something people will have to learn and get used to as that’s very essential to the fediverse experience.
I personally hate algorithms picking shit for me and that’s why I use lemmy and why I used reddit back when it first came out. I search out and pick what content I see on my feed.
I definitely agree with more marketing. It’s insane to think there’s a lot of people that still use reddit and never even heard of lemmy
I want to use matrix so bad but matrix clients suck and there’s no voice channels like discord
that’s the main reason I moved away from lemmy.world
I think it should stay private
Noice, I’m surprised more people didn’t move over.
This looks so nice and very promising. You’ve raised my hopes
