Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman!
This makes things weird.
how?
The last thing I need is people knowing I upvoted a nsfw post, so nope thanks.
Like I said in my earlier comment, if the devs make changes in lemmy which by design discriminates any sorta people, yeah people should be leaving lemmy. Twitter just shoves and boosts hate and polically biased posts (favoring elon, the app’s ceo). Lemmy devs are just extreme leftists (tankies in lemmy’s language), but it doesn’t push or shove their views onto me or anyone (in my knowledge).
Its ironic you say this from the ani.social instance which was previously defederated from ml because the lead devs thinks all anime is degenerate or something like that and it ruined the anime community since ani.social was still too small
lemmy.ml defederated with us, it was just one instance. it is unfair and not justified but again, I dont miss much because of that.
what if they are turned out to be like this or hate other set of people? lemmy by design is defederated so even if the devs are like this, you can just simply call out them or leave their lemmy server lol. i am sure there are trans friendly lemmy servers out here.
as long as lemmy by design is against any sorta people, you dont have to boycott it.
did they implement this in the recent release? the last time i tried this it didn’t work.
Pixelfed developer deserves a raise. Dude is the developer that every ADHD developer wishes to be. I could never focus on more than one project at once.
As for Phanpy, it’s one of the rare apps that has 10/10 user interface and 10/10 user experience. Very rare these days where people focus lots on just user interface but have no clue about user experience.
how a lot of open source software suffers from bad UX
Thought only I had this take in the whole world. Usually open source software are best but you have to spend some time picking the right one. Usually 5/7 would have great UI but only 1/7 would have the UX you might like.
and go back to woods, leaving internet, computer and everything.
is this like a decentralised plex for music? like if i have a set of flac i can simply create an instance, upload those and use that instance with my friends like a spotify?
yeah like i said above, post flairs might help [email protected] and similar communities a lot. i used to go to the old episode discussion threads in r/anime to see what other people think about a particular episode if that episode is exceptionally good and flairs helped me to filter stuffs easily.
User and Post flairs. Post flairs is helpful to me (in reddit) when I want to find posts that are similar. Like having a flair named “Episode Discussions” for communities like [email protected] can help me to go through anime episode discussions threads. This is just my own use case and there might be better use cases for post flair.
Thanks a lot, I will check the new ones out.
Please name all the sites in their order. Three or more look new to me.
Seems like this aren’t the only bad stuff they did
Why would Meta do this???
Pixelfed is a good competitor for Instagram, their #1 cashcow. It has everything an Instagram competitor should have, especially the 2012 Instagram vibe where people just shared their daily life happenings through pictures instead of sharing bs for engagements. The only thing it lacks is messaging feature and the dev is working on a messaging platform for that.
idt pixelfed should be used as an imagehost. there are many services for that and it will only make pixelfed worse if people use it for that purpose.
