I’m absolutely for defeterating threads. But if you make a claim and treat it as fact and are trying to convince people of an idea the burden of proof is on you. Otherwise your argument sounds extremely disingenuous and entitled

That’s the reason for for hire devs yeah, but if you are starting a new project ( especially a community one like lemmy where the profit motive is different) choosing your tech stack is a complex decision
Languages won’t grow if you ditch them for other ones. There’s lots of reasons to use rust, outside of the size of the project
Oh sorry I didn’t assumed you meant darwinian pressure as in the kind that causes genetic changes in a population through natural selection? Because that seems cruel and unreasonable?
I drew the conclusion that you meant darwinian pressures that influence the success of one pattern of thought over another in the current population?
