Yeah, I know. You either study or play, I agree. For this reason I’d like to find a game that I can check twice every hour, that just keeps going in the meantime.
This is because I hate studying, I’m very bad at it and I don’t really get a feeling of progession and accomplishment while doing so. I’d like to trick my brain into getting those feelings, even if it’s for the wrong reason (it should work).
About the game, I’d like for it to be a game I can actually play from time to time, which is why I don’t think autoclickers will do the trick for me (but I’m open to try). I was thinking about Minecraft prison servers, where you had to grind to get materials and then sell them, or some kind of sandbox RPG where I can autofarm endlessly.

I’m not necessarily a fan of gacha mechanics, but I do enjoy Genshin. Reason being that the underlying game (story, world, gameplay, music etc.) is actually pretty damn good, and there is actually no need to pull for limited characters because the game is more about exploration and story than anything else. There’s no content that really makes you feel like you need to pull, and the devs do a pretty good job of never shoving banners down your throat. You get a little notification when a new banner starts, but that’s it. No pop-ups or anything. It’s still not the best or most ethical mechanic, but I think overall it’s handled better than many other chance-based microtransactions.
Thanks, you summarized the overall feel of the game very well, I’m a day one player myself! Unfortunately, like I replied to another person, I need something to check in between every study session, and I want it to auto-play while I study
