I found the strawberries on sale for 98 cents a pound a few weeks ago and hulled, sliced + froze them. Milkshakes are a delicious way to put them to good use.

My amateur recipe:

  • handful of strawberries
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • just enough milk to thin it out into a drinkable viscosity
  • and a tiny pinch of salt to make the strawberry’s flavor stand out more

I’ve got some strawberries that will go bad soon if I don’t use them for sometime. I’m gonna throw them in the freezer right now!

Immersion blender (stick blender) let’s you really jam it around to try and get everything blended smoothly. I find it works well for making emulsions. More importantly, it’s a lot easier to clean than using a big blender when making a single serving.

An immersion blender is like a handheld wand with a blade that you dip into the thing you’re making. It’s pretty neat to use

Looks so good. I make smoothies every morning but they look nothing like this. I just use almond milk, greek yogurt, banana, and frozen fruits

Maybe add a tiny dash of strawberry or good balsamic vinegar to boost the intensity a little? And maybe some fresh basil!
