I rarely used Twitter before the Musk takeover, only to follow a handful of authors I like for updates about their books and a few people who did aerospace updates, unfortunately most of them jumped on the BlueSky train instead of the Mastodon bus, and I’m not going to have an X account so BlueSky it is.

Those results might be slightly skewed by alternate accounts. When I first joined during the Reddit Exodus I created this account on lemmy.world, but the instance suffered a LOT of downtime for the first month or so, so I created a few other accounts on lemmy.ml and sh.itjust.works so I could still browse while lemmy.world was down.
After the instance stabilized I pretty much stopped using the other accounts, so I, personally, am 2 of the people who “left” by leaving the other accounts inactive.

Have you tried browsing by “Subscribed” instead of “all”? It’ll only show content from communities you’re subscribed to, like the old Reddit frontpage

The fact that they are even entertaining the idea of going along with the API changes is just flat out disappointing.

Most bugs don’t show themselves right away, once it releases the combined play hours of all the internal testing will be surpassed within the first day. That’s why there were 3 (so far) duplication glitches found in TOTK immediately when Nintendo had been looking for that sort of thing all throughout the development of the game.
Let’s say 500,000 people download it on launch day and start playing it immediately and each play for an average of 6 hours, that’s 3,000,000 hours of combined playtime.
Unless they have an enormous beta community they haven’t got anywhere near that amount of testing in on the game.
I’m not saying there’s not going to be less bugs than previous games, I do believe them on that because it being a flagship game from Xbox game studios they’re going to put a lot of pressure on the team to get it right, but don’t take that to mean there’s no bugs at all and especially no game-breaking ones.
Keep your expectations tempered and please don’t pre-order games.

The only reason to require an Internet connection for a game is if it’s primarily multiplayer.

Trace it to the root of the problem, if the subreddits going dark took the servers down, then what made all the subreddits go dark 🤔

It’s not really a loan if they don’t give it back.

They were pretty clear during their “AMA” that they couldn’t care less about the backlash, even doubling down on the lies about the Apollo dev.
