Facebook messenger did the same . You used to be able to talk to fb users via google chat all from pidgin or another xmpp client. They are a hostile actor on the web who have already proven themselves untrustworthy. Let’s not forget the Snowden docs or Cambridge Analytica

Did you open an issue on github ? If not please do with all of the details of your device such as make and model, android version , version of the app and steps to reproduce and logs if you have them.

There are most likely others who have the same issue so the sooner its reported the sooner it can be fixed. It might be a while bit at least there is a place to start with steps to reproduce the issue.

Some people are rightly skeptical of shortened URLs due to malware etc. Also the point would be to show the name of the site. Probably users won’t click the link and scroll on but they will see the image.

The thing to do now is post it in an image. They can’t autodetect the text in the image . its possible for sure but they’re not spending money on that

Emulation is my favorite way to play for this reason. I have the full game and I can play it in any way I choose when I choose and with the steam deck where I choose. I hate the preoder bullshit where they ship a broken mess and are patching it for a cycle or two and then they shut off the servers…

I boycott ubisoft for this and ea because they are a shitty company. Thankfully we have projects like pretendo and xlink Kai to restore the old networks and they work with emulators
