I myself am 100ish hours into AC Odyssey on the Steam Deck, looking forward to getting stabby on some malakas!
Where are my ToTK folks ?
They’re all busy in Hyrule. Speaking of which…
70% completion. Going for Ganondorf fight today.
Tears of the Kingdom, although I might take a break for No Man’s Sky
Eyyy same for NMS. I generally just like to run around and screen shot stuff
Is there new content for NMS or you are just enjoying it at the moment?
there’s a big content drop coming soon
There’s a new expedition out, although I’ve seen reports that it’s pretty buggy.
They’ve been putting out new content very frequently. And for free too. The dev seems really cool. The game has come a long way.
Diablo 4. Trying to get through the story as much as possible! Playing with my husband, been a blast so far!
Diablo 4! I find it oddly relaxing in my current state of mind. At first I was adamant about listening to the soundtrack and all the voice acting but I’ve found I enjoy it way more by just reading the story and listening to my own music.
I’ve got a necromancer and a sorcerer. Necromancer is incredibly easier, to the point I haven’t touched the sorcerer since I made it. I will probably make another character soon, not sure what.
had a friend recommend me to get this so we could play over summer, have you tried the multiplayer?
Well, it’s always multiplayer, meaning you will see people out in the world constantly. A lot of content (like dungeons) is instanced to your party, though, so you won’t see randoms where it really matters. Personally, I have only played solo so far except for the aforementioned randoms :). I’m sure it would be very fun with others, though!
ohh okay, my friend told me it wasn’t MMO but I understand what he meant with the party instancing thing you mentioned. Looking forward to it!
How is it? I was never a huge Diablo fan, but played 3 through because I got it for free with World of Warcraft. It was okay, but I thought the story was kind of meh and it didn’t have the replayability for me as something like Dark Souls.
Personally, I like it way more than 3. I could never get into the older games (including 3). Others say it’s a “reskin of 3” which I think is kind of ridiculous.
The story so far is actually pretty intriguing. I mean, it’s not mind-blowing, I’m pretty sure of what will happen, but it’s still good for a game in this genre.
Replayability is really endless, but, I don’t know if I’d say it has more replayability than the older games, it just may be more replayable for you if you like it more.
Diablo 4 and TotK are my go to games atm.
No Man’s Sky has kind of been my go-to since it was released. Of course I’ll sit down and get into lots of other games, but if I’m playing nothing in particular - NMS.
Just a heads-up about the new expedition… it’s bugged out at one of the steps in the last phase right now, and you can’t progress to complete the expedition yet. Looks to be a community-related task, but it’s not displaying progress properly.
I think I heard something about that, yeah. Thanks for the heads up!
Elden Ring, just got the game and I’m excited to keep exploring this open world dark souls
I never got into any of the souls games until Elden Ring, but I’m now working through it for like the fifth time. Truly one of the best games I’ve ever played.
Minecraft mostly. I have a group of friends I play with in multiplayer that tend to start a new server when a new version releases.
ROCK AND STONE
Disco elysium
Trying out Street Fighter 6 and their World Tour mode, my first Fighting Game, as a 30+ y/o. I completely suck at it.
I’ve been watching some streams of people playing and it really makes me want to pick it up. I used to play 4 about… 10 years ago? God I’m old 😅
That’s how I got into it, watching one streamer go through the World Tour mode, which looked like something even a total beginner could play.
Keep at it!
I feel that, this is my first real fighting game and I SUCK! Thank fuck for modern controls.
Yeah, I tried classic controls for a bit, but my fingers just can’t do these motions.
Dunno if there are any training modes, that could help with those (except the bog-standard training, where you just wail on a dummy). I mean something where you do one move, and it showed you if and when you did some input wrong, late, early, etc.
For now, I’ll just unlock more styles and try them out, and maybe find something that speaks to me.
You can configure the dummy to do specific actions in the settings. It is actually fairly in depth! When learning a combo I usually set it to dummy mode then after I can repeat the inputs I move over to have it be a CPU. Only difference is unlimited HP and stamina.
I know, but the thing is I know nothing, so I want the CPU just standing there. Them blocking, jumping, attacking, whatever, is not really gonna help me to figure out what I’m doing wrong, when a fireball doesn’t come out. The input history is a start, but even that really only shows obvious mistakes (for me, a complete beginner). That means I’d just have to spam the same thing over and over, until it works reasonably well.
Give me an overlay like with the Pizza mini-game, and tell me that I pressed down a few frames too late or something.
But like I said, I haven’t checked out the menus at all, maybe there is something like that, a very basic move training.
System Shock Remake, gotta kick Shodan’s ass finally ;)
Tears of the Kingdom. I’m going to be here for awhile, but this game has made me want to play some other Switch games in my collection that I’ve been putting off, like Xenoblade Chronicles.
I’ve been getting back into Civ 6!
Zelda Totk and Yes your grace. Maybe I cave in and buy Diablo 4 tomorrow.
