This is also something that i find to be important to post about because I played the game personally and it is one of my favorite rpgs. I also think the witcher 3 was one of the most influential games of last decade and something like this deserves its own thread.
This is in my top 10. Massive game and so deep with the side quests. I loved that you could wander off and discover these little mini stories in any direction. Spoiled me a bit for other games where you had to collect rocks or something (cough: DA:I)
I’m still yet to play it - sadly one of the many games filling my backlog… definitely need to give it a go, especially now that the ‘next-gen’ patch is out!
I’ve just started 2 a few days ago. I’ll get there some day.
I wish I could experience the game fresh again. Go slow, savour every moment!
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I’ll try.
I’m a huge fan of the original Witcher books, and the games and the show just don’t feel the same, with the first game straight up lifting the lines and the plot from the books for a supposedly completely different story, and the show completely missing the point of the saga. I’ve actually started playing the 2 about a year ago, but left it after the few initial missions because I just wasn’t feeling it. I went back to give it a try because everyone’s been praising it as a good game, and I’m trying to look at it as a fantasy RPG set in its own universe. I’ll see how it goes this time.
The show really entangles the plot a lot more than the game. I found the show hard to watch with all the not signaled time traveling with jump cuts. Even though I’ve seen most of the plot covered from the game.
I have to get back to that one, I had a pc that was locking up constantly - never finished it.
I got the game when it was released for Nintendo Switch some years ago. Being able to play it anywhere, anytime, that’s amazing.
However I haven’t played yet the DLC Hearts of stone. I don’t want to finish this wonderful game.
My absolute favourite game ever!
I love this game, the books, the comics, the lore. I love The Witcher sooo much!
Wow, that has been a long time. Such nostalgia! I have not even finished it lol
I loved it and even better I loved the DLCs when they were released. Too bad I cannot really replay them, I just remember too well what happens in the beginning and it somehow lost the replay value. I wish I could forget the game and start it again.
People tell me to try the Dark Souls series, which I am planning to do when I have some time.
